Everyone’s favorite heroes in a half shell are now forever immortalized on your leggings for you to wear around town! Before the Turtles became part of our Saturday morning cartoon diet, before they hit Broadway, and before every kid had 20 different plastic action figures laying around the house, they were dark and edgy (well, at least by 1980’s standards). They also all wore red headbands (not just Raphael), which made it super easy when deciding what to wear to school.

The design from these retro TMNT BJJ spats is taken right from the 1984 Eastman and Laird first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It depicts Raphael perched up on a New York roof while attempting to deliver a letter to Shredder, avenging the death of Splinter’s master. The Japanese kanji on the right leg means “turtle ninja”.
